AGATHE BERMAN is an assumed “slash generation” personality: producer /writer/teacher/consultant/coach
Trained in Polygram Fastlane Media Program (London, Los Angeles), mastered in theatre, linguistics & media (Paris Sorbonne), she is focused on creation and transmission.
She has produced over fifty films as a partner in well known Paris-based Les Films d'Ici. Her credits include award-winning productions directed by talents such as Cédric Klapisch, Richard Copans, Samuel Doux, Blanca Li and Christophe Honoré. Until 2016, she co-ran Legato Films, lining up feature films and creative documentaries, such as Stop me here by Gilles Bannier, with Reda Kateb, released by EuropaCorp, and The Strongest Man, documentary by Louise Hémon with Arte France, in competition at Hot Docs Toronto.
She currently manages her own company – AgatheBermanStudio - where she develops and produces series, documentaries, and provides textual expertise; working with filmmakers such as Louise Hémon, Gabrielle Schaff, Monia Kashmire, Gisèle Vienne and Dennis Cooper.
As an author, she conceives documentaries series on art, short stories, narratives for ballets (Paris Opera) and art performances (Avignon Festival). She also curates photography exhibition / acts as artistic consultant for theatre creation & performances/ creates video documentation. In Paris Atelier de Sèvres, she train art students for their essays and speeches to enter major international art colleges.
She runs pitching workshops in La Femis (French National Film School) for documentaries and series departments, and for European entities such as Creative Europe and EWA.
She is the Series Maria festival (Lille-France) official coach for Coproduction meetings selected participants. She also implemented pitch coaching for Series presentation in Odessa Film Festival 2018.
