When he gets out of prison, Florian, a middleaged punker and former superstar, finds himself in a perverted and absurd reality, which has been shaped and formed by the consequences of his final rebellious act.

Synopsis

After commiting a bizzare incident, breaking and smashing the car of his wife Ana (35), who he caught having an affair with his band colleague, Florian (45), a middleaged punker and frontmen of long a forgotten but famous band “I fell on my head”, reawakens the idea of rebellious behavior in his home town, which once lived for it. After a few months, Florian gets out of prison and comes back home, where he finds a perverted and absurd reality, completely altered by the consequences of the bizzare incident with his wife, that is, his act of rebellion. On his way to redemption, trying to fit in and accept the reality such as it is, while trying to renew the relationship with his son, get his pride back, and keep on living a normal and quiet life that does not suit a former punk superstar, Florian finds the feeling of rebellion once again, and gives himself back to his former ideals and virtues.

Director’s Statement

What defines a rebel, is that he/she is opposing something, a rebel is a person that rises a fist againsy a certain thing, most often against an idea or a system, but the most important virtue of a rebel is to act. By acting, a rebel makes a clear statement that he/she disagrees with certain things, by which he/she becomes a rebel and in this case, stays one. In this film Bunt (feeling the need to fight back) is portrayed in a mildly bizzare way. The narrative is set to put the character away from his reality in the most absurd way, which is defined by his previous acts of fighting back, because every action has its reaction. The film speaks of change of generations, of zeitgeist which is an unstoppable force with which the main character is having a constant battle. It speaks about how the modern society is prone to exploiting, controlled by the growing and falling of trends and a society in which many of us feel trapped and imprisoned in. It speaks of family, marriage, father son relationship, but the most important aspect of It Is, that all these things above are seen through the eyes of a person who has strong opinions and virtues, all of which are based on his constant and genuine need to fight back.
